Doing our part
Sustainability is the future
It is never too late.
EIS has been using recycled content since its inception. We have ingrained to built it into our business model, and we believe in doing our part to help others achieve this same goal. We educate and, where possible, provide materials that have a neutral or positive impact on the earth so that future generations can continue to enjoy it. At EIS, our customers can achieve sustainable, recyclable, and environmentally friendly products that will provide a downstream effect allowing them to continue this mission.
EIS meets or exceeds a project’s performance specs while not compromising future generations’ ability to enjoy what we have today.
Forest Stewardship Council
FSC was founded in 1993 in Bonn, Germany. The Forest Stewardship Council A. C. is an international non-profit, multistakeholder organization that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests via timber certification. It is an example of a market-based certification program used as a global environmental policy.
Mohawk
Mohawk was founded in 1931 in upstate New York, where the Hudson and Mohawk rivers come together. Here generations of papermakers honed their craft on fine papers for letterpress printers in the northeastern US.
The company was started when George O’Connor acquired the Frank Gilbert Paper Company at the beginning of the Great Depression. From this modest origin, Mohawk has grown through careful management and investment over three generations of the O’Connor family, and today the company is a thriving business with a global presence and expanding markets.
